Race 21 Big events Lee Valley

No Thursday race this week, this was my main event.

The race was particularly uneventful, it was raining before and was wet throughout, as a result I found it even harder to move up. My main error was when i got to the front but was in the wind so i backed off, I never got back up again, I should have waited for the group to swing back over to my side of the road, as i was on the inside of the next corner. I finished in the group near the back, which was fortunate as there was a crash at the front as they crossed the line.

I am improving in some areas though, I was physically fine and didn't struggle very much to stick with the pace. I was thinking about what I was doing, when to put the effort in, where to freewheel and where to be in the bunch at what time.
